We are recommended Marta and Vito Lisi, we are dedicated to the family organic farm that bears the name of our mother, Maria Rosa Merico. Many of the centuries-old olive groves of the "Ogliarola di Lecce" and "Cellina di Nardò" varieties have been owned by our family since the 18th century.

A few years ago our territory was the scene of an unparalleled ecological disaster: an extremely aggressive bacterium  attacked the olive trees of Salento compromising their vitality. The landscape has drastically changed and many centuries-old plants no longer exist today.

The depletion of centuries-old trees and the substantial and irreversible loss of the genotype of our traditional cultivars have constituted an epochal damage for our territory. Another serious consequence has been the drastic reduction of olives for the production of extra virgin oil, and this has placed us in serious difficulty to do our work. 

We have been able to counter this crisis by putting in place all the necessary agronomic resources in total respect for the environment, including the selection of new branches that have been reborn from the ancient root system, which are again bearing fruit and can still produce olives from native and secular cultivars; 
in these years we also succeeded thanks to the collaboration with some small organic companies that have provided us, with a great sense of responsibility and generosity, the olives necessary to integrate our productions and guarantee the supply of excellent organic olive oil from our family oil mill.

And it is thanks to these difficulties, the efforts and the work of the last few years that we can proudly affirm that our productions were, are and will remain small organic and artisanal productions, increasingly appreciated by our customers and friends all over the world.
